Summer at the Museum - a series of educational activities
The Summer at the Museum 2025 offer is a rich programme of workshops and events that will allow both children and adults to spend their time in the summer in a creative and inspiring way. It is a great opportunity to discover new passions, learn and have fun in the unique surroundings of the Museum and more.
WORKSHOPS FOR ORGANIZED GROUPS
Creative workshops.
"More than one face of portrait"
On the basis of selected portraits from the Museum's collection, we will discuss the clothing, decorations and gestures of the figures immortalized in the portraits and their meaning. In the art part of the workshop, participants will create their own portrait using the collage technique, combining various textures, colors and newspaper clippings, creating unique works inspired by classic and contemporary portrait.
"Paper stories – papermaking and calligraphy workshops"
Workshop participants will learn the secrets of traditional papermaking and try their hand at the art of calligraphy, writing with a real pen with a nib, using ink. It is a unique opportunity to travel back in time and feel what the old art of writing and paper creation looked like.

If you have the gene of a seeker and discoverer, we invite you to the Museum. At our temporary exhibition "In Search of the Beginnings of Leszno. Archaeological Traces of Early Medieval Settlement in Leszno" you will be able to play the role of a young archaeologist. During interesting and inspiring educational activities, you will certainly discover your hunger for adventure and passion for the past!
