Digitization and Visual Documentation Studio

By entering the Digitization Studio, we are transported to a world where traditional exhibits become virtual artifacts, retaining their soul and meaning. This is where we transform material heritage into digital heritage, available to a global audience and future generations, as well as for scientific and conservation research.

How are we doing?

Methodically and with passion, our studio uses advanced technologies to document and preserve our most valuable exhibits. Our approach is based on two key methods: photography and scanning. Using high-quality cameras and professional scanners, we capture every detail, shape and texture to protect the richness and diversity of our collection.

One of our tools is a rotating photography system that allows us to capture exhibits from all sides, providing a comprehensive look at each item. Thanks to this approach, our digital replicas fully reflect the richness and three-dimensional structure of the originals.

We constantly ensure quality and compliance with the highest standards. Our work is based on the guidelines contained in the publication "Good practices for the digitization of museum objects", which constitute the foundation of our activities. We follow them at every stage of the process, from the preparation of the exhibit, through the digitization process, to final verification.

Our mission does not end with a single image capture. We ensure the durability of our digital copies by applying the best archiving and data management practices. This allows us to provide long-term access to our collections, both for researchers and for anyone who wants to discover and learn about history and culture.
