Customs and rituals of Christmas - cyclical classes
From December 3, we are starting a series of museum lessons entitled "Customs and rituals of Christmas". It is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the richness of traditions related to this magical time and actively participate in creative workshops.
Why do we talk about Christmas?
Our goal is to spread knowledge about how in the past in Greater Poland people prepared for the arrival of Christmas, what customs were related to Advent and how houses were decorated for Christmas. We will talk about the beliefs related to Christmas Eve, setting the festive table and dishes that according to tradition should be on it. Students will learn the difference between Santa Claus and Gwiazdor and what gifts children received from them.
As part of the workshop each participant will make their own Christmas tree decoration, which they will take home.
