Easter - museum lessons at the Museum

We invite primary and secondary school students, preschool groups with their guardians, and organized groups of families with children to participate in a museum workshop dedicated to Easter customs, titled "Easter Customs and Rituals." The workshops will take place from March 3 to April 3, 2026.

During the meeting, participants will learn about ancient and contemporary Easter traditions – from preparations for the holiday, through the meaning of symbols such as the palm, the Easter eggs, and święconka, to Easter Monday rituals. The activities will be enriched by presentations and interesting facts about regional customs characteristic of southwestern Greater Poland.

Have you ever heard of "klekoty," "nowy lotek," or "palenie żuru" ? During the workshop, we'll explore the secrets behind these mysterious names and how Easter was celebrated in our area in the past. The workshop is interactive – participants will have the opportunity to actively participate in the conversation and complete a simple art project inspired by traditional holiday decorations. This is a great opportunity to discover the richness of Polish Easter traditions in an accessible and engaging way.
