Historical walk, in the footsteps of Hermann Nerger's buildings, part 3
The District Museum in Leszno invites you to another historical walk dedicated to the buildings of Hermann Nerger – a well-known architect and builder, who significantly influenced the shape of Leszno's buildings in the second half of the 19th century.
This time, Małgorzata Gniazdowska, an art historian and expert on the subject, will lead the participants along a route including, m.in, Słowiańska Street and Nowy Rynek.
During the walk, he will introduce the figure of Hermann Nerger and talk about the architectural changes in Leszno during the period of intensive economic development. It was at this time that new tenement houses, villas and public buildings were built, and older buildings were also modernized – all thanks to the work of architects such as Nerger and his contemporaries.
The event takes place as part of the Summer at the Museum campaign.
