Last chance to take a look inside an old linen chest – a guided tour of the exhibition

This Sunday, May 25 at 4:00 p.m., we invite you to the last guided tour of the exhibition "Tales of an Old Linen Chest".

This time, the exhibition will be guided by Zuzanna Rybińska – an art historian, who will familiarize visitors not only with the exhibits, but also with the cultural and historical context related to old household linen.

The exhibition presents various elements of underwear used in homes a hundred years ago – decorative shirts, monogrammed pillowcases, as well as somewhat forgotten items of clothing such as reforms, women's combinations or men's nightgowns. It is also a story about the daily effort of taking care of the cleanliness and aesthetics of underwear – about washing, starching and ironing.

This is the last opportunity to see the exhibition and listen to stories about a world that is gone, but still fascinates with its beauty, detail and history hidden in embroidery and lace.

Where and when?

District Museum in Leszno, 31 G. Narutowicza Street.
