Promotion of the booklet: Bright Eye. Octownia tells and summarizes the task: "City-Warsaw" in Leszno? The sweet and sour story of the Górecki brothers
On November 14, 2024, the promotion of a new publication intended for young visitors to the Museum will take place, along with a summary of the educational project that has recently been implemented. The event will take place at the Stanisław Grochowiak Municipal Public Library in Leszno (Leszno Book Gallery) at 25 Jan Metzig Square at 12.00 p.m.
Summary of the educational project on the history of the Górecki brothers
Over the last few months, we have been learning about the history of Józef and Jan Górecki. As part of the task entitled "City-Warsaw" in Leszno? The Sweet and Sour History of the Górecki Brothers, co-financed by the Polish History Museum in Warsaw, numerous educational and exhibition events took place. Their aim was to promote the economic, social and patriotic achievements of the brothers. There were thematic walks around Leszno, scientific and popular science lectures and museum lessons. In the windows of the former vinegar plant at Aleje Jana Pawła II, artistic boards were hung. In front of the Museum at 31 Gabriela Narutowicza Street, we have made available a board exhibition about the Górecki family. Its online version, along with audio description and translation into Polish sign language, is available on the Museum's website.
Children's book at the end of the task
The last chord of the task will be the promotion of the publication "Bright Eye. Vinegar plant narrates". In a synthetic way, it presents the history of the Górecki brothers, their numerous activities. The booklet contains photos from the Museum's collection and from private individuals. It is graced by riddles, drawings, a collage and a coloring book for the youngest.
