Senior's Weekend with Culture - program of events
The Senior's Weekend with Culture is a nationwide campaign initiated by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the aim of which is to encourage the elderly to actively participate in cultural life. The District Museum in Leszno once again joins this event, preparing a special offer of meetings and workshops at a symbolic price of PLN 1. See you at the Museum!

Many faces of the portrait
4 October 2025, 11.00
Workshops aimed at presenting the issue of portrait, its history and meaning. Participants will learn that sometimes a portrait is not just a face, but many surrounding elements. The classes will be enriched by a walk through the exhibition and a look at the portraits in the collection of the District Museum in Leszno. The meeting will end with art workshops, during which participants will make portraits using the collage method.

Guided tour of the temporary exhibition "In Search of the Beginnings of Leszno. Archaeological traces of early medieval settlement in the town"

How did people live in the area of today's Leszno and its surroundings a thousand years ago? What did they do on a daily basis? How did they meet basic needs – food, housing and security? We will answer these and other questions during a guided tour of the temporary exhibition. We will also see monuments found during the latest local archaeological works.
