Co-financing of publications about Jan Metzig
In cooperation with the Society of Friends of the District Museum in Leszno we are currently creating a book about Jan Metzig, an outstanding resident of Leszno. The publication is planned in connection with this year's celebration of the Year of Jan Metzig in Leszno.
The Society of Friends of the District Museum in Leszno, as part of an open competition for offers for implementation of public tasks in the sphere of Culture, art, protection of cultural goods and national heritage – Cultural icons of the region.
Outstanding Wielkopolska residents and local heroes received a grant of PLN 9,000. Funds for the implementation of public task entitled "Doctor Jan Metzig. Suum cuique – To each his own" will be used to prepare a publication popularizing Jan Metzig's achievements in the sphere of medicine, social and political activity. We will pay particular attention to Dr. Metzig's relationship with Leszno and his involvement in defending the national rights of Poles.
The publication is based on, among others, the resources of the District Museum in Leszno. It will consist of archival postcards, photographs, engravings, maps and paintings with images of people and towns associated with the person of Dr. Metzig.

Availability
The publication will be also accessible for people with visual impairments thanks to audio descriptions of selected photographs (AD) and audio text.

The task "Doctor Jan Metzig. Suum cuique – To each his own" co-financed by the Wielkopolska Province Self-Government and the City of Leszno. Total cost of the task: PLN 9,770.
