New podcast episodes

New podcasts about the history of Leszno during World War II. We invite you to listen and learn about stories that should not be forgotten.
We are pleased to announce that two new podcasts have appeared on our website devoted to the fate of inhabitants of Leszno and the surrounding area during World War II. These are extraordinary stories about life in the shadow of the occupation, showing everyday life, dramatic choices and the power of survival.
"Survive the night. World War II – Leszno life histories"
A podcast dedicated to our recent exhibition "Survive the Night. World War II – Leszno life histories", which presented the history of town and its inhabitants in the years 1939–1945. In the conversation we discuss the occupation reality of Leszno, the fate of Polish prisoners of war and the importance of preserved memorabilia – photographs, documents and everyday objects.
Host: Dariusz Czwojdrak, historian
"A Shattered Life"
The second podcast is a moving story about the Rutkiewicz family from Osieczna, whose fate was marked by the war. The story of escape in September 1939, the difficult everyday life under the German occupation and the dramatic death of Bronisław Rutkiewicz brings us closer to the reality of those days.
Host: Adrian Gendera, historian
