On May 18, 2026, the IZABELLA 2025 awards gala took place at the Śrem Museum. This prestigious award is awarded to cultural institutions for exceptional activities carried out in the past year. The organizer of the event is the Greater Poland Museums Foundation with the support of the Greater Poland Voivodeship Self-Government.

We are pleased to announce that the District Museum in Leszno was among the winners, having been recognized in two competition categories.

The highest distinction – GRAND PRIX – was awarded to the museum in the category “Scientific and publishing activities” for the publication “Labirynt świata i raj serca ”.

The jury emphasized the exceptional importance of the project, noting that, thanks to the efforts of the Leszno museum, the famous work of Jan Amos Komeński has become "both a publishing rarity and the museum event of 2025." The publication's high editorial quality and combination of scientific value and exceptional aesthetic qualities were also recognized.

The District Museum in Leszno also won third place in the "Promotional and popularization activity" category for the project "Promotion of a new object in the Museum collection - a historic mug of Joachim Scholtz".

The jury's justification emphasized that this was "another successful promotion of a single museum object, which, thanks to thoughtful efforts, has gained the attention it deserves." The jury also appreciated the exhibit's historical value and its significance as a testament to high-level craftsmanship. Thanks to the promotional campaign, the object has become a more widely recognized museum treasure.

We would like to congratulate all the distinguished and awarded museums.
