A new mural about the Museum in the city space
A new mural inspired by museum collections was created at Grunwaldzka Street in Leszno. The author of the mural is a famous artist from Leszno, Dagmara Angier-Sroka. This is our fourth mural in urban space. In 2020, two murals were created inspired by Jacek Malczewski's painting and the 100th anniversary of Leszno's return to the motherland. In 2022, as part of the "Synagogue Tells" project, a painting with a Judaic theme was painted. It decorated the former Jewish district. We cooperated with our friends associated with the TPMO association to create the murals. The author of the murals is Katarzyna Jurga. We wanted to continue to be present in the public space of Leszno through painting. The latest mural by Dagmara Angier-Sroka is inspired by the museum collection of portraits of the Sułkowski family. It metaphorically refers to obstacles that each of us may have in our relationship with art. The message is addressed to young people potentially interested in visiting the Museum. His message was inspired by a quote from Stefan Żeromski's novel "Sułkowski": Whoever wants to defeat the enemy one day must learn the art of being free in spirit.
